Overall, I actually like this product. I have damaged 3a, fine, low porosity curly hair and bought this product hoping to alleviate PCOS related hair loss and some scalp and ends dryness. I saw so many people recommend this product with incredible before and after pictures, showing how this oil was practically able to work miracles and regrow their hair in only a few months. I’ve been using this product consistently for 4 months now and these are the results and some pro’s and con’s.
Twice a week, I would part my hair and put a few drops on my scalp, then gently work it in with my hands. I tried leaving it in for 30 minutes before a wash, a few hours before, then eventually the night before I intended to wash my hair the next morning.
Over the course of 4 months, there has been no difference in hair or scalp health and I’m still shedding and losing hair like crazy. The hair that grows back isn’t really growing in thicker, healthier or faster either- there really has been no difference.
A month ago is when I decided to change how I use the product. After washing my hair, putting in my leave-in conditioner and styling with a denman brush, I started adding a few drops of this oil (only about 3-4) into my palms and would gently scrunch it into my hair.
This is where the product really worked for me. It helped my hair curl and retain that curl for a lot longer! My hair looked shiny and was holding a lot better than it was before. Since my hair is low porosity and fine, I was worried that oil would weigh it down and make it greasy, but this particular oil is pretty easily absorbed into my hair.
It’s a good oil and works with my low porosity hair, which is more than most oils do. I’ve been using it as a curl enhancer in my daily routine, but can’t give it a higher rating because it really just isn’t working as it was advertised. My scalp broke out a few times using it and my hair isn’t thicker, softer or healthier after using it for months. Here are the pro’s and con’s.

Everyone’s hair is different and there are a lot of different factors like the environment, genetics, application method, etc. that can have an effect on whether or not a product works for someone or doesn’t. These were the results after 4 months of trial and error- hopefully this information helps someone! I like this oil and will continue to use it to help my curls last longer throughout the day, but personally cannot vouch for it’s ability to promote hair growth and health.

Makes hair greasy; update- seller has high customer service level
Unfortunately, I can’t use the product regularly, as intended to get good results. It’s difficult to apply (the dropper spills oil and is too big to use for precise application) and it leaves my hair extremely greasy. I don’t shampoo my hair daily, which I would have to do when using this product because it leaves my hair so greasy.
Update: After posting this review, the seller reached out to me to see how they could make it right. I said nothing, the product just didn’t work for me. Without asking, the seller refunded my purchase. I very much appreciate the great customer service, as they take customer satisfaction seriously. Although this product didn’t work for me, I would do business with this seller in the future.

Ok it’s only day one but I already notice a difference. For the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing hair loss (about a palm sized area in the middle of my hard is now about 1” in length), brittle hair, breakage, and sensitive/itchy scalp. I have relaxed natural hair and the last light treatment did a number on my hair. After I wash, I quickly develop scalp scabs in the area where my hair broke off and lots of dandruff.
So I ordered this after seeing the reviews and success stories. As soon as it was delivered, I applied some to my freshly washed (and scab free) scalp, braided my hair and tied my bonnet and went to sleep. In the morning, I expected my scalp to irritate me like always but it hasn’t, and there is less scabbing/buildup developing — so it’s already made a difference! I’m going to keep using this product and will keep my hair in a protective style while it grows back, so I’m optimistic.
Also, I should’ve listened when reviewers said a little bit goes a long way!

i got this probably about six months ago and i was not very good at using it for a while. as the weather has slowly gotten colder, my skin has been drying out a lot more. i totally forgot i had this stuff and tried a bunch of different things before remembering to use this again. it works so well for me! it makes my flakiness and itchiness go away pretty fast. i use it at least once a week as a hair mask before i shower. i leave it on for at least an hour if not more while i’m just doing homework or cleaning. and then once i shower i shampoo once with tea tree oil shampoo and then my normal shampoo. it also seems like it helps with how many wash days you can go as long as you’re consistent with it. i love this stuff! not to mention my hair feels so soft after using it!

RESULTS WITHIN DAYS???
I lost a lot of hair due to the shampoo i was using and a nutrient deficiency. Mostly around the hairline & crown area. Along with the hair loss, I was experiencing a lot of frizz and dryness.
For reference I have 2b/3a, highly porous hair and it is also quite thin. I apply this oil once a week to the scalp and twice a week to the ends (in addition to other hair care). It does not take much at all! Less is more. I have seen several reviews talking about hair loss and I must say, oils are not for everyone and incorrect use can cause breakage. Personally, I started seeing regrowth after just TWO USES. Not joking. It has also seemed to help my hair retain moisture from other conditioning products. Be sure to research how to correctly apply oils and how to care for your hair when you have oils in it.
I like the smell, very minty. It has a cooling affect on the scalp. Overall, this oil does what it claims to do. This is my second bottle and I recommend it to all of my friends. Give it a shot. I said it once though and I will reiterate- RESEARCH YOUR HAIR TYPE. OILS ARE NOT FOR ALL HAIR TYPES.

I am 34 years old and starting to notice some thinning on the front of my scalp where my bangs are and a little bit on the corners and down my hairline. I’ve only use this oil twice and can’t speak on any hair growth yet but it’s very greasy which I don’t like. I bought this because I thought I read somewhere that it was non-greasy which is a plus because I don’t like my hair to look dirty. I was hoping I could apply this daily and still have hair that looks fresh and clean but I’m only able to use it a day before I wash my hair or when I have no public obligations. I will update my post when and if I start to see results.

Helping my thinning hair
I’ve been using this for almost 2 months now. I’m on my 2nd bottle. Due to stress, my hair started falling off, which I didn’t noticed before until one day. I noticed one bald circle on the front and when I checked the rest of my hair, I noticed my crown area was very thin, real badly. I started using this 2xs a day. But I switched it to once a day because my scalp got a little itchy. My hair has been filling back in. It’s not 100 percent there yet, but i have noticed the difference. I’m hoping in 2 more months it’ll finally be all filled back in. Also, it doesn’t have a strong scent, you can smell the hint of mint, but nothing overwhelming. I will continue to use it. Fingers crossed, I’ll have my hair back to what it was.

I have fine hair. Lots of hair, but fine, and very straight. Maybe sometimes it’ll look wavy if I’m lucky, but after brushing a lot it basically is flat. For me, it’s super hard finding any hair products that doesn’t make it look like I just jumped in a pool of oil. However…this product has been a GAME CHANGER for me and my hair journey.
I’m 21, and I’m trying to start taking measures to prevent early aging or hair thinning and things like that. I’ve been using this for about a month now, and I’ve been seeing some real good results.
I put maybe 15 drops TOTAL on my scalp, making sure to separate parts of my hair to get it onto the scalp. I also put drops of it on the ends because I have a MAJOR split-end problem. This stuff does not make my ends look slick and greasy and nasty!!! I was SOOO surprised! Obviously the top of my head looks a little oily but I bet I could get away with having this in with my hair up, and nobody noticing my hair is oily.
I put this in before taking a shower to wash my hair. The oil will protect the ends of your hair from the shampoo drying out your ends, but you don’t have to worry about that not washing out. I always shampoo twice, and it always comes out even with my normal shower routine. I don’t have to vigorously scrub and scrub and shampoo 40 times to get it out.
I do use this with a scalp massager. It makes the benefits REALLY shine. My hair on the sides seems to be growing in thicker, which is something you always notice when you have fine hair. My hair line seems to be getting better and I’m growing baby hairs!! But for the ends of my hair, my hair is shinier, and seems to look naturally wavy instead of bone-straight now. My hair seems to look HEALTHY for once. I do still have terrible split ends but the only way to get rid of that is to chop them off :/
If you like the smell of rosemary, and are looking to up your game in haircare, I think you should give this a try!

I did a test, I use this 3 times. A week every morning. The 2nd or 3rd day it started itchy my scalp and it created these dry patches in my scalp. It smells really amazing tho (My hair 4c)

The oil is okay but once you put it into your hair it smells bad like old oil. It didn’t help with my hair loss. I used the whole bottle and really didn’t see a difference.
